Washtenaw County 14a District Court Employees Use County Credit Cards To Make Dozens of Purchases At Ypsilanti Tim Horton’s

WASHTENAW 14A COURT employees Colleen E. Turek and Lisa Mull have each used their county-issued credit cards to make dozens of purchases at the Ypsilanti Tim Horton’s. The most recent purchase was one for $57.42 made on February 7, 2014 by Colleen Turek. In total, credit card records showed almost 60 Tim Horton’s charges made by the two women between April 2011 and February 2014.

signIt wasn’t clear from credit card records whether the Court’s Judicial Coordinator, Turek, or the Court’s Reporter, Mull, had made the purchases for themselves or for one or more of the Court’s judges. The 14a District Court has three judges: Chief Judge Kirk Tabbey, Chief Judge Pro Tempore Richard E. Conlin and Judge J. Cedric Simpson. District Court 14a also has one magistrate, A. Thomas Truesdell.

The smallest charge at the Tim Horton’s is $3.50—made by Colleen Turek, and the largest charge was $57.42, also made by Colleen Turek. Other Washtenaw County employees made purchases from the same Tim Horton’s using their county-issued credit cards, but the number and timing of those purchases (two purchases over a three year period by two county employees) differ greatly from the number and timing of purchases made by the 14a District Court employees.  What follows is a list of the dates and charges at the Ypsilanti Tim Horton’s made by the two District Court 14a employees:
