Letter to the Editor: “Supreme Felons, Inc. Supporters Harass And Threaten Ypsi Township Trustees During Meeting”

In my opinion, the press should not be used to lie, distort and attempt to create mayhem. This Ann Arbor Independent News article (“Supreme Felons, Inc. Supporters Harass And Threaten Ypsi Township Trustees During Meeting”) tries to distort, create bias, exaggerate and inflame the events of the August 15th Ypsilanti Township board meeting.

I attended the same meeting and left feeling it was informative and a mostly positive, sincere exchange between the Board, community and community organizations.

This very lengthy article is more about exposing the past lives of men who are working with and for the well-being of the Ypsilanti Township community than the actual events and exchange of information that occurred in the meeting. Consequently, this article makes me ask the question …Why would this reporter go this far out of the realm of truth in reporting this particular meeting? If the purpose was to “try” and cause hatred and division in the community, shame, shame, shame on you!

Mrs. L. K. Weathers, Ypsilanti
