Oct. 15 Performance Network Wednesday Night Concert Series—”The Illiad”
The Ann Arbor Performance Network Theater’s Wednesday Night Concert Series continues with a concert reading of “An Iliad” performed by John Manfredi on Wednesday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m.. Manfredi won the 2014 Wilde Award for Best Performance Actor Drama for his performance of “An Iliad” earlier this year. Tickets for the concert reading are $15 and may be purchased online at www.pntheatre.org or by calling the box office at 734-663-0681.
“Getting the opportunity to do An Iliad again is special,” said Manfredi. “It’s such a wonderful piece of story telling and doing it in such an intimate setting is going to be wonderful. At our core that’s what we are as actors; storytellers. Being able to connect with people this closely is exactly what we’re after in this new part of our venue.”
The Wednesday Night Concert Series offers concert readings of plays and musicals, including new works, in an intimate setting. The 20142015 schedule for the series is yet to be determined but performances will occur approximately once per month as opportunities arise.
“I’m looking forward to seeing “An Iliad,” said Artistic Director Suzi Regan. “I was disappointed I missed it the first time around. John just recently won the Best Actor honor from Encore Michigan for it and people around here are still talking about it so its very exciting. It’s a great kickoff for our series.”
