LETTER TO THE EDITOR: AAATA Endangering Pedestrians

AAATA is using the whole of the 3 block faces (5th, William, 4th) as de-facto loading zones, and creating a dangerous situation for traffic and pedestrians alike.  It is impossible to turn northbound on 4th off William much of time, and often traffic is reduced to one lane on 5th with pedestrians rolling luggage from the Library Lane drop off zone across the street to the AirRide stop (no crosswalk markings there btw).

This is an untenable situation and something must be done about it before there is an accident or worse.  The AAATA does not own the streets, should not be using them as loading zones, and as far as I know no one has given them permission to do so.  This has to stop.
