Dawn Farm Announces 41st Anniversary Jamboree

SEPTEMBER IS designated National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month for individuals, families and communities around the country to celebrate recovery. The Dawn Farm Jamboree has been a local celebration of hope, recovery and community for 41 years. On Sunday, September 7, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Dawn Farm officials invite the community to join them in a celebration. The event will take place at Dawn Farm, 6633 Stony Creek Road, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197. Admission and activities are free of charge.

The Dawn Farm Jamboree celebrates recovery from chemical dependency with a free event that includes entertainment for the entire family. This annual event features live music by Noteworthy Band, pony rides, a moon bounce, a children’s tent and midway with activities, games and crafts. There will also be live and silent auctions with a variety of donated goods and services, many at bargain prices, food and beverages.

Dawn Farm is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization.  With residential services, supportive transitional housing, outpatient treatment, sub-acute detoxification and active outreach programs, Dawn Farm provides a continuum of services to meet the needs of young people, adults and families in our community.

All Jamboree proceeds will support the organization’s efforts to provide compassionate and professional care regardless of an individual’s ability to pay.
